ROUND 1:
1-1 (CADE): Landon Frost 6’1 G, Upper Left Legion
With the first pick in the draft Cade gets arguably the best player in the draft getting Landon who can come in and be the immediate scorer for Cade’s team. Cade got blessed with the first pick in the lottery and with hopes for a championship he decides to pick one of if not the best overall player in the draft. He should be able to help lead Cade’s team to a solid record while putting up good numbers.
1-2 (RUDY): Brayden Yelverton 6’1 G/F, Milltown Basketball
Rudy decides to get his primary scorer with the 2nd pick after Landon goes number 1. Brayden is a do it all layer when he is locked in and should be a huge part of Rudy’s team for this season. This should be a really weird fit but it should work out for solid stats. Brayden should be the main focus point as Rudy doesn’t play much basketball so this draft pick should be interesting to watch as the season moves forward.
1-3 (GAVIN): Tanner Werry 5’10, F/G, Camas Select
After two of the top prospects go off the board Gavin decides to make the move of both reuniting with Tanner from last season as well as stealing Max’s most probable pick. This should be a really nice fit to where both Gavin and Tanner can get good stats along with wins.
1-4 (MAX): Max Gibson 6’0 F, Tacoma Gametime
With his main wanted player being picked, Max has a tough decision to make. Go with a big offensive scorer or go with a lockdown defender with the 4th pick. Instead of trading back Max decides to take Gibby and stick with the offense route as he is looking to get the assist records this season and with hopes for the playoffs and a championship Max wants to have a powerful offense when facing good teams.
1-5 (NOAH): Blake Wilson 5’6 G, Upper Left Legion
Noah decides to shock everyone with arguably the best defensive player still available he decides to go with guard Blake Wilson. Noah used the mindset of wanting to put up good stats for his team while having a guy like blake guard the smaller guards and rack up assists to Noah. They should fit solid together as long as they are able to play as a duo. The combo of Noah’s size and ball handling with another guard next to him should take some attention off so Noah and Blake can both score and assist.
1-6 (BEN): Anthony Andrews 5’8 F/C, Undecided
Ben goes with a top 5 player in the draft and gets him at a really good spot as well. He had the option to get scoring around him but decided that defense wins championships and having a good defender who can guard number 1 players is important for a good team. While Anthony is defending it will allow Ben to get easier buckets on the offensive end. This could be a championship type move for Ben in the long run.
1-7 (AIDAN): Keaton Jaques 6’2 C/F, Camas Select
A really good pick here at number 7 as Aidan takes big man Keaton. Aidan’s team needed size to compete against other 6 foot lineups and he gets that and more as Keaton has size and athleticism. You put that along with Aidan’s playmaking we could see a really good 2 man offense with Aidan is also having another pick shortly to maybe address another need. This team has really good perimeter defense with Aidan and an interior big with Keaton so expect a lot of low scoring games for this team.
1-8 (JUDE): Kyle Lindberg 5’8 G, Camas Select
Jude got unlucky with the last pick but at least he gets back to back so he has some breathing room with his picks. He decides with his first of 2 picks to go and get a facilitating guard drafting Kyle Lindberg. Kyle is a really good perimeter defender and is able to hit the 3 and playmake. Jude realized that for his team he needs an on-ball defender that can also get him open and he thats with this pick.
ROUND 2:
2-1 (JUDE): Luca Maxwell 5’9 F/G, Milltown Basketball
This is his second pick of a back to back after he got his point guard in the first round. Now Jude decides that he needs physicality, interior scoring and rebounding. Luca brings that to his team, even with a below average jumpshot that will work out fine because with Kyle and Jude being shooters all you need is that powerful third player. Now Jude has defense, scoring and toughness. If they can figure out how to play together as a group and also be able to guard bigger teams then watch out for them come playoff time.
2-2 (AIDAN): Dylan Vanderlinde 6’4 C, Camas Select
Aidan has a tough decision to make with pick 10, Draft shooting and scoring ability or go all out in getting size. He decides to go with option B. Aidan drafted a big in the first but decides that he wants to get a huge lineup with a double big set to throw lobs to. Aidan should be able to get Keaton and Dylan open for lobs and they both bring interior defense and rebounding. They should have a really good defense but the problem for them is that they don’t have a lot of shooting. The problem is that there is no true number 1 on the team and they need another guard but it should work out as defense wins championships so they should be able to get things to work out by the playoffs.
2-3 (BEN): Kason Grahn 5’7 G, Camas Select
Ben went with defense in the first round and with his second pick decides to get a guard to compliment his abilities. Ben wanted to get a guard who can defend guys like Max and Aidan along with having a facilitator to get him the ball. Kason does both of those things. Now Ben has a defensive lock, a passing guard and a number 1 scorer which is what you need to win. As long as they are able to get rebounds and hit their shots they should be good but it all comes down to those 2 factors.
2-4 (NOAH): David Daley 6’0 F, Undecided
Noah with his first pick went and got a facilitating ball defending guard, so with his second pick he rounds out his lineup getting an athletic wing in David. David will add perimeter shooting and defense in both the post and up top. This should be a good connection as all 3 players are able to score in different ways and they can all defend. Their only problem will be facing bigger more physical teams/interior scoring.
2-5 (MAX): Bryton Nesland 5’5 G, Camas Select
As much as Max wanted to take Kellen with his second pick we have him taking the best player available getting Bryton with his later round pick. Bryton could have gone earlier in the draft but we see his best fit probably with Max who is able to get him the ball on the wing/top for open shots. Now Max’s team has 2 solid perimeter defenders and a big man who can also score from the perimeter in Gibby. They have some of the best overall offense in the draft and maybe the best shooting team out of everyone. Their problems will be going against taller teams as well as rebounding and potentially sharing the ball. Although, last year we saw a smaller team have a 6-4 record. So if they are able to figure out their problems come playoff time they could be a scary offensive team similar to the 2024 Pacers team.
2-6 (GAVIN): Chance Balough 6’4 C, Milltown Basketball
Gavin went with another combo guard in the first and with his second round pick is getting his project center for the future. Chance should be able to come in and with some work can be a solid contributor for the team being able to use his size and strength to get rebounds, catch lobs and defend in the post. They would be the biggest team in the league and with the playoffs if they are able to have everyone worked out can be a title contender. Their problems will be the overall shooting and the offensive flow.
2-7 (RUDY): Kellen Washington 5’8 F, Camas Select
Rudy went with size and scoring with his first pick and now wants to continue with his flow getting a solid role player in the second with Kellen. Kellen can stretch the floor and hit open perimeter shots as well as defend the perimeter. He has a solid frame and with this pick Rudy’s team is definitely the most raw but they have a good combo of players around Brayden to plan for the future. Expect a few sneaky wins from this team now. Their problems are the lack of experience, interior scoring/defense and size.
2-8 (CADE): Nick Rafferty 5’8 F/G, Undecided
Don’t sleep on Nick as the last pick, Cade will get some solid value as Nick is a solid 3 point shooter and is a nice defender. He shouldn’t be the last pick but in this case falls to Cade and it could be a steal. This team now has 3 shooters, 3 willing defenders and a good amount of playmaking. While landon is driving inside you have 2 shooters ready on the perimeter. They could be a frontrunner for the chip but it all comes down to interior defending, turnover concerns, and a lack of rebounding. But watch out because if this team is hitting from deep then they could be blowing out teams with a path to a finals run.
